RT’s services can and soon will be offered in every hamlet, town, and city across Canada.

How you can bring RT to your town:

First, shoot me an email (info@runningtourist.ca) letting me know you’re interested in joining (I will provide you with a mailing address then).

Next, below is what I need from you in order to post your town and contact info on the RT site:

1. Your full name

2. Your contact info.  This includes: email, phone, and mailing address.
(Only your name and email address will be posted on the RT site.)

3. A short letter describing yourself and why you want to bring RT to your town.  It is a good idea to create a short (2-3 sentence) description of yourself and/or route that I can post online along with your town & contact info.

4. A document with:
- The full name, address, and contact info of the charity, high school, or community event you are raising money for.

- Dedicate a paragraph that states you agree to give all proceeds that you earn through RT clients to the named charity, high school, or community event.

- The document must be signed by an authority of the named charity, high school, or cause.  It must also include this individual’s contact information.

- Your full signature and date document is signed.

5. A map of your planned route(s). You can use http://www.mapmyrun.com/ to create the route and get your km info.

6. A short outline of the information about your town’s habitants, culture and/or history that you plan to share with your guests on the running route(s).

7. Optional: a photo of yourself (this can be posted online with your contact info – so make sure it’s a good one).

8. Lastly, you will have to part with an est. $35; please include a recent criminal report with your submission.

There are no fees for joining RT, I will be taking care of the site (costs and updates) as well as emailing/notifying companies and groups of interest. Your only responsibility is to take care of the above info, and then hit the pavement with a smile and a story.

If you plan to run RT in your community this 2010 season, I suggest getting your submission in by April 30, 2010; running/tourist season generally runs mid June to mid September. There are no deadlines for your submission although, so take your time, find your routes and points of interest and let me know when you're ready!

Looking forward to hearing from you!
